Guide and Packers School

At Birch Creek Outfitters we strive to give you the very best training possible for your future in the outfitting/guiding industry. In todays world it is very hard to find a job that lets you make a living at something that most people view as their hobby. Only in this field can someone combine their love for the outdoors with a paycheck.

Once enrolled in our course you will receive a packet of home study material. Because our course is so intensive and only 4 weeks long these studies are a must before arriving. During the 4 weeks you will learn about the game and their habitat, rules and regulations of the backcountry as set by the forest service, the proper techniques for packing mules and horses along with tack maintenance and repair. This course will also involve the proper techniques for setting and caring for equipment such as tents and camp equipment. The majority of the course is hand on learning, actually working with the animals and in the back counrty.

The cost for this 4 week course is $3000.00 which includes tuition, meals, lodging, and course materials.
